Goblin wolf riders. These diminutive little creatures alone almost convinced me to pick up an Orcs and Goblins army for Warhammer Fantasy Battles back in the day, but the questionable quality and age of the sculpts kept me away. A decade passed and Rippa's Snarlfangs were released for Warhammer Underworlds; hope was kindled. A few years later, Snarlfang Riders were released for Gloomspite Gitz. They were great, but they felt like a bit of an odd duck in the Gloomspite range. Now though, Games Workshop are releasing a whole sub-range of sun worshipping goblin wolf riders for the Gloomspite Gitz, the Gitmob, and I am here for it.

The War of the Rohirrim - Battle of Edoras MESBG Starter Set - The Hill Tribes
As with many wargamers, I got my introduction into the hobby with the Lord of the Rings Strategy Battle Game, specifically the DeAgostini partworks magazine series, Battle Games in Middle-earth. As such, MESBG holds a special place in my hobby life and I regard it as one of the better game systems produced by Games Workshop, rose-tinted glasses likely in full effect. I was beyond happy therefore when Games Workshop announced they would be releasing a new edition of the game to coincide with the release of the new War of the Rohirrim anime. I got my box for Christmas and I'll break down my thoughts on the contents over the next few posts, beginning with the Hill Tribes of Dunland miniatures.

The 10th Edition Kroot Releases
Kroot Carnivores were amongst the very first 40k kits I picked up so when I saw that they would be getting a sizeable release with the latest Tau Codex I knew that I would be picking up at least one of the new Kroot Hunting Pack army boxes. Three later and here we are.
I've now managed to pick up some of the other kits that released once the full Tau Codex came out and I'll review how I found them here.

Vulkyn Flameseekers - Fyreslayer Warcry Kit Review
The Fyreslayers have come to Warcry with their own bespoke warband, the Vulkyn Flameseekers. I'm not a big fan of the Fyreslayer model range as a whole, but it certainly has some highlights and these new models might be the new pinnacle.

Tyranid Hormagaunt Kit Review
I'm back after a bit of a hiatus and I'm finally getting stuck into the new Tyranid miniatures.
First up are the Hormagaunts, the melee variant of the iconic Tyranid swarms units.

Tyranid Index - Initial Impressions - Datasheets
With the Army and Detachment rules out of the way, I'll try to tackle the bulk of the Index and arguably the more exciting bits. Again, these will be replaced in the next couple of months, and we do not yet know the points so I'll just be giving a general overview of how the sheets look. Obviously if they are dirt cheap or incredibly expensive then that will affect their viability.

Tyranid Index - Initial Impressions - Army and Detachment Rules
Today Games Workshop dropped the Tyranid Index and gave us our first real look at what an army as a whole will look like in 10th Edition. As a long time Tyranid player this is an exciting time for me and I'll be recording my thoughts below. As we do not have point values yet, it is hard to tell exactly how good some units will be, so this will just be an initial impressions style review.

The Lady of Vines Kit Review
Despite being a relatively new model for the Sylvaneth, the Lady of Vines has actually been kicking about since the very first edition of Age of Sigmar in the Black Library novels - although she met a rather unfortunate end at the hands of a Nurglite.
I've now managed to get my hands on the kit and will be reviewing it accordingly.

Captain in Gravis Armour Review
A relatively new release for the Primaris Space Marine range, the Gravis Captain is one I have been meaning to pick up for a while. Now that I've got around to picking it up, I've assembled the kit and will give my review of it here.

Legion Sky-hunter Squadron Kit Review
Well this kit was a long time coming. I preordered a bunch of boxes for my White Scars months ago and they've finally arrived. I'll give a review here of my experiences assembling the kit and the layout of it.

Hearthkyn Salvager Kit Review
With the launch of the Kill Team: Gallowfall box we see the first Kill Team kit for the Leagues of Votann, the Hearthkyn Salvagers, which add an upgrade sprue to the existing Hearthkyn Warrior kit.
