Seraphon 3.0 Battletome Review - First Impressions - Army Rules

The latest battletome for Age of Sigmar 3.0, Seraphon, is due to release today alongside the first batch in a slew of new miniatures for the faction inside a limited run army box. The general release is still a month or two out but the rules are now in the wild for non-tournament gaming.

Here I will go over my initial impressions from reading the book and give you an idea of what you can expect.

Desolation Squad Review

The Desolation Marines were released alongside the Brutalis Dreadnought and the new Primaris Lieutenant in the Strike Force Agastus boxset earlier in the year, and provide some much longed for Devastator equivalents to the Primaris range, albeit with none of the flexibility. They go somewhat against the grain when it comes to naming convention as you would expect them to be called Desolators but they went with Desolation Squad and Desolation Marine for some reason.

Brutalis Dreadnought Review

Released alongside the Desolation Marines and the new Primaris Lieutenant in the Strike Force Agastus boxset earlier in the year, the Brutalis Dreadnought is essentially a melee version of the existing Redemptor Dreadnought, trading out the macro plasma incinerator or heavy onslaught gatling cannon to double down on the melee arms.

Primaris Lieutenant (Agastus) Review

Released alongside the Desolation Marines and the Brutalis Dreadnought in the Strike Force Agastus boxset earlier in the year, this latest Primaris Lieutenant is the first to feature wargear options within the kit and is also the first Primaris Lieutenant kit to include a powerfist.
